Issa Rae & Louis Diame Marries in The South of France
With a funny Instagram post about an impromptu bridal shoot, Issa Rae announced she is married!
The multi-talented actress, writer, producer, and star of HBO’s hit show Insecure, Issa Rae tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend and banker, Louis Diame, in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferra, in the South of France.
The couple got engaged in 2019, as seen from Essence Magazine April 2019 cover photo. In which Issa wore her new engagement ring for her Awkward Awesome Black Girl feature but she didn’t speak of their engagement to Essence. Until recently when Issa surprised her 3.2Million followers on Instagram and announced their wedding.
The Bride’s Tale – In her own words
A) Impromptu photo shoot in a custom @verawang dress.
B) My girls came to help me, but they all coincidentally had on the same dress! They were sooooo embarrassed.
C) Then I took a few flicks with Somebody’s Husband.

The beautiful bride looked so graceful, blissful, and glowing in her custom Vera Wang strapless gown.
And for their wedding reception, Issa also wore a Vera Wang gown. A beautiful lily-white Italian silk crepe plunging V-neck A-line gown with a layered tulle skirt accented by a dramatic front slit.
Their romantic destination wedding was planned by the international celebrity wedding planner, White Eden Weddings and photographed by renowned photographer, Lauren Fair.
