The New Year is here, bringing lots of wedding planning for the year. Are you getting married in the spring, summer, fall, or winter season? The planning process is the same and starts now with figuring out the budget for your dream wedding.
Recently, Houston, TX-based wedding planner Doyin Fashakin, a premier and award-winning event planning and design planner, shared some 2024 wedding costs for savvy brides on Instagram, which I reposted on @OmaStyleBride IG page. That got me thinking about how prices have drastically changed since my wedding fourteen years ago. In some instances, prices have tripled thanks to the current inflation.
The Need To Create A Budget & Checklist
Unless you have unlimited cash flow, you don’t have anything to worry about when it comes to budgeting. But for brides with a limited budget and trying to figure out prices during this inflation time, we have some price suggestions for you from a professional wedding planner below.
A lot goes into planning a wedding, which can sometimes overwhelm any bride. If you can hire a wedding planner, please do so because that will save you a lot of stress while taking advantage of the planner’s expertise and knowledge.

More importantly, the wedding planner can help you with your budgeting, cut costs without compromising on your dream wedding vision, and, if possible, help you shop around for discounts from vendors. A wedding planner is essential if you can afford it.
With the current global inflation, prices have gone up for everything. That includes vendor prices for flowers, decorations, cake, food, drinks, transportation, photography, wedding dresses, etc. According to Doyin Fashakin, here are wedding costs you can expect to see when you start planning this year.
When I reposted this price list on Instagram, one of my lovely followers, who got married recently, confirmed these prices are accurate and, in some cases, were a bit higher than projected on this list.

As the year starts, some wedding vendors will offer discounts before they are fully booked. So it’s best to start planning early to take advantage of any promotional offers from those vendors to save some coins, which all adds up.
Thus, note these prices are estimates to give you an idea of what to expect while shopping around for vendors. Wedding costs around your area might be the same, vary slightly, or completely different from this list, but that’s fine, too.
